@historymatt.bsky.social I am reading your wonderful "Shoes & the Georgian Man" and I have a question: What are those over the shoe&stocking protections? I was reading that in Spain (my theme), boots were not common for riding in the 18th c. In Goya's painting, Carlos III is wearing the same stuff.

It is great that Mexico has an amazing, experienced politician as president right now. Claudia Sheinbaum’s official response to the US administration madness is worth reading. Notice p.4: she reveals that psdt Trmp plagiarized her govmt’s data on migration to make it seem as his own accomplishment🤦🏽♀️
