Against green and blue hues is a front facing silhouette of an owl sitting in a branch. Red headed woodpecker facing us but looking to the left. Iy has a red head black wings and white chest and belly. They feed in the yard and will bring this years young ones soon. A full drawing of a male blackbird with a full yellow head with back to us sitting on a reed. This is where the name comes from. A yellow headed blackbird. The Canada Geese are numerous and both parents are very protective of their young. This goose you see standing sideways facing right neck bent low mouth open hissing. There’s a faint yellow gosling by its chest and two by the adults tail feathers. The long black neck with the white patch an easy identification marker.

This is my belief. As a child, my mom took older sisters to church. I was one too many so Dad took me for car rides throughout the country where I learnt of nature, rivers & land.
