One of my favorite bookstores worldwide was Shakespeare and Company in Paris back when the “old” guy had it. People were allowed to stay there and even got fed from the communal stew pot. Normally people stayed in exchange for helping out a bit, but writers could just stay to write.

I would go to Ireland or Scotland.
