It's one of two (or maybe the only) time you can go up to the top while the lamp is lit. A long drive from the Twin Cities but worth it. It's handled perfectly. (2/2)

If you ever have the opportunity, the ceremony at Split Rock Lighthouse is with going to. It's incredibly moving and a beautiful place. After learning about this in 5th grade in Michigan in 93, always wanted to go. This is from November 2015. (1/2)

It's a small drop but cancelled my ESPN+ subscription. I used it mostly to watch hockey in the winter but I cannot justify giving them money.

Our Clara did that last year - both knees! She rocked the same harness. If you watched her today, you'd never know. She's back to her full crazy!!

After an amazing week in Chicago for a work trip, so happy to be back home in the PNW. What an amazing sunset tonight!

Let me know if you need some PNW bigfoot gear.

It's been 10 years since that post and 8 since were last in Fort Collins - far too long! Just looked up the story on Snowbank. Good for them - they had a great run!

Our dog absolutely loved her visit there and making new friends.

A new hobby I've picked up in the last year: checking out the book shops in airports to see if any of the authors I like have been through and signed anything. No success yet but it's a fun way to pass the time!

Clara is exploring all the great magazines and newspaper content available from the @seattlelibrary.bsky.social. Starting 2025 reading year strong!

A chilly, rainy PNW day calls for a pleasant fire in the evening.

It's absolutely wild that @usatoday.com would try to get me to resubscribe when they're willing to publish blatantly bigoted pieces like this. Replace "trans" with "Black" or "Asian" and it's the same small minded crap in a new decade.

I've lived in major cities for the last 17+ years but grew up in a small town. One of the perks of that is the local paper ran an article on all the books donated to the library as a memorial gift to my mom. The local librarian scanned and emailed it so I could see it.

We have one that looks and sits like that!

Heading into Seattle to meet up with coworkers for a tabletop exercise security exercise and then dinner.

It never gets old commuting by ferry!

So happy to have found you here. Loved your StW comic.

I still have this up on a shelf in my office.

Ugh, we have a sensitive tummy girl. Normally it clears up after a couple of days but we have a vet appointment today just to make sure before the weekend!

Another beautiful sunset over the Olympic Mountains. It never gets old that we get to take a ferry to and from Seattle. #PNW

Enjoying a picnic dinner at Scenic Beach State Park. Stunning views of the Hood Canal and Olympic Mountains.

Clara had surgery on both of her knees last Thursday. She's been such a trooper about all the pills, the not playing, the no walks, the ice packs, and the forced bed rest. She's recovering well and snoring very loudly next to me!

This is why you should support local journalism if you can. Stories like this make a difference in people's lives. This is a community working together at its best.

Either an amusing typo by @theathletic.bsky.social in their newsletter this morning or the real reason the #Pistons had such a terrible season this year.

By far, the best Aurora I've seen since 2005, maybe 2001. The show lasted over 90 minutes. Just incredible.

The dogs were less than impressed with the first night accomodations. They had left with my wife the day before. Everyone was much happier on day two when the real bed showed up.

Two more for the feed! Clara (grey) and Amelia (black) hanging out with their cat, Melody. All named for Doctor Who companions.
