Maybe that's why this pisses me off so bad. Biological relation is not superior to found family, and this includes when people make two characters bio siblings instead of found family. I genuinely hate it, it's one of the popular fandom tropes I genuinely despise with my entire god damn chest.

It gives the idea that if you're adopted, it just doesn't count and that's vile to me. I have four adopted siblings and they're as much a part of my bloodline as any of my bio siblings.

This also sends a terrible message to adopted kids that they do not count as "part of the bloodline" and having their own kids isn't a legit way to continue the family name.
