Tänään juhlittiin @vtt.fi MIKES:ssä 150 v. mittausyksikköjärjestelmää. Ohjelmassa esitelmiä metrologian historiasta, nykytoiminnasta ja tulevaisuuden näkymistä, sekä keskustelu metrologian alan koulutuksesta. @geohannu.bsky.social:n kanssa esittelimme @fgi-nls.bsky.social:n metrologian toimintaa.

Today, we had open house at the Nummela standard baseline of #NLS-FGI. This autumn it was measured for the 17th time using the Väisälä comparator, based on white light interferometry. Still the most accurate distance measurement method in the world, since the 1940s. #geodesy #maanmittaus
