Trump is openly violating the law on a vast and unprecedented scale and everyone is acting like it's normal. NPR had a long story about finding a rare shrew. I mean, it did such wonders for Twitter. Lost significantly more than half its revenue, drove users and advertisers away in record numbers. Made the site less usable, and less stable.
Who wouldn't want that for an entire country?

Still wild to me that so many "savvy" folks on left and right have bought into the idea that online misinformation is overblown and doesn't really matter. From lies about migrants to transgender people to crime to election denial to climate denial, it's literally driving our country's politics.
