Adult services librarian in NJ. Came for the books, stayed for the community. I still have so much to learn.
My street is being paved today, so I left early and took myself and my book out to breakfast before work - so delightful!

We discussed this book at my library today. Several of us marked it a favorite of the year so far. I need to find time to visit The Met!

My top #LibFaves24 pick is THE SERVICEBERRY written and narrated by Robin Wall Kimmerer. The serviceberry tree is an example of how an economy based on quality relationships is so much more beneficial than one based on competition and scarcity. Lots of inspiration in a small book

Today's #LibFaves24 title is WE SOLVE MURDERS by Richard Osman. Steve's quiet retirement is disrupted when his daughter-in-law Amy's security job takes a very dangerous turn. Funny, sweet, sad in parts. Great characters. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Now for #LibFaves24 day 4. THE SUNFLOWER HOUSE by Adriana Allegri. Haunting story about the Lebensborn homes designed to perpetuate the Aryan race, a woman who hid her Jewish identity to save as many children as she could, and the SS officer who was not what she expected.

Oops! #LibFaves24 belated day 3! THE PHOENIX CROWN by Kate Quinn & Janie Chang, narrated by Katharine Chin & Saskia Maarleveld. In 1906 San Francisco, two women connect via their relationships with a powerful man. The earthquake reveals devastating truths but cements their mutual desire for justice.

#LibFaves24 day 2! MADEMOISELLE EIFFEL by Aimie K. Runyan. Claire Eiffel put her dreams aside to raise her siblings and help manage her father's career. As a woman she mostly stayed under the radar, but she knew her worth and deserves to be recognized as a vital part of the Eiffel legacy.
