The issue with this isn't that we didn't check to see if anyone could still climb the wall after it was painted but the fact that nobody questioned the president when he had the idea.

I was there, sitting about 10 feet away. I actually have a photo of it happening that I've never shared. My father worked for the CR Gazette at the time and was able to score front row seats to the event.
