It may be the trump dump now, but there'll be a trump surge just before tariffs are reversed.

Someone has to put a system in place and change it from its present. You've mentioned changes to society but not how you do it.It's the how that's problematic, particularly if you believe in a democracy. Capitalism has become an ideology, and created the inequalities that you, and I dislike.

It needs to work for everyone and the larger the population the harder it is to get agreement, and the more likely the system becomes enforced and then creates resistance and violence, and ultimately breaks down.

I don't disagree with your basic position. I think we should try a less corrupt system. There's a lot of ground between what we have now and what you prefer, I just think that ideology is a direction of travel not a set of rules to unbendingly follow.

And they can all be exploited by bad actors taking more than their fair share.

Exploitation and human suffering exist in non capitalist systems. They're human outcomes, the system is just the tool that humans use to gain and maintain power. Capitalism needs checks and balances to prevent excesses, as do other systems. They all require people to work together for success.

I'm not an absolutist, I understand where you're coming from, but a theoretical utopia isn't reality. You have to deal with human behaviour and motivations to make it work.

You can be employed, valued and rewarded. The owner may make more but removing the gain made by risking ones own resources, to me isn't the solution.

You're assuming that every busy that employs people, are exploiting them. My experience, in a variety of businesses is that that's not the case.

I work in a worker's cooperative, and don't believe all businesses should be. Certainly, more businesses should be, I would probably go for more worker representation on boards. I believe unions should make this a priority rather than being concerned with more reactive activities.
