Thanks. Not quite what I was hoping. Pulling the trigger on that shuts him down for all of 2026. seems shitty to have to guess in January how he’ll recover by late summer. Galaxy gambled last year he’d be back at end and it helped destroy their season.

What a disaster for us.
Tom, what are the roster rules for putting a DP on “injured reserve” type status? Could Galaxy do something like that and sign a new replacement DP and then sort out the 4 DPs in the summer window if by some miracle Riqui was ready (presumably by selling Pec )?

Happened to me once, thankfully no one was in the room. It had been installed about a year earlier. The contractor (it was part of a larger remodel) who did it said it had to be a manufacture defect and he (and the glass company he sourced it from) took care of replacing it for free.

The Galaxy announced it was a *club* option on the stub season through June 2027. Not a *mutual* option. Does that change you analysis any?

However, we seem to have better financial flexibility than expected this offseason.

I do like the 5 divisions of 6 where you play x2 in division and all the other 24 teams once.
Hated only seeing a small amount of Eastern teams each year.
I’ve never been in favor of the schedule change (too many great summer memories at Galaxy games) but it will be interesting.
