I’ve grown frustrated with some of the discourse around this amazing series. I guess I would be called a “hive sympathizer”. The loss of individualism is very concerning, yes, but I feel the joined are a better starting point for a just world than… this *waves around.

This is probably correct. It also possible that China is leaning on Russia to wrap up the active phase of the war, so Russia can build up for a European front once the PLA launch their Taiwan invasion.

We have a whole generation of politicians who not only tolerated the growth of fascist ideology, they fully and wholeheartedly embraced it. There is no turning back from that. The GOP must die and a new party or parties must fork from the anti-MAGA coalition.

Once you see it, it’s impossible to keep a conservative view on economics. Capitalism may be the least bad of economic systems, but capital is a heavy weight on the scale. Government must keep the balance through regulation. If government is captured, inequality rises until unrest is inevitable.

If we search the entire multiverse, there’s probably a timeline where someone started global nuclear war due to a misheard/misinterpreted command. That’s the only thing that can possibly compare to how badly Comey fucked up that last week of October in 2016.

Hamas is probably finished. I’m sure the young survivors of Israel’s wrath will grow up to appreciate that peaceful resistance is the only way to protest their oppression, unhaunted by the memories of their families and friends blown to bits.

This should have come out at both of his impeachment trials. So many people have failed our democracy. John Bolton was saving this for his stupid fucking tell all book, when it could have been the thing that saved us from Cheetolini’s democracy-snuffing comeback tour.
