If not the tarriffs, what about the DOGE firings? Or the "Mass Deportations" causing tourism to decline? Any of those might be a cause?

Dems and Independents shifted drastically left, Republicans didn't budge as much. I suspect that that will be the takeaway.

Imagine: Food so blanched, unseasoned, and dry that it gives you snow blindness and dehydrates the very air.

Just learned that you can't directly attach a fibre optic to a copper wire, that is stupid. (Who would think that? *nervous laughter*) Libs are stupid with their stupid bikes biking into work. Libs are to blame for the helicopter crash. Whip that together in the dementia soup, bake for 2 seconds.

Even if the Democrats somehow actually took it from people rather than being a confident lie told with a smiling face, they think that Republicans are going to somehow get that back for the average joe shmoe? Lol.

Admittedly I bumped into one of them before. This was in a smaller car and I should have seen it, but I zoned out I guess. I bumped into it, it did damage to the car. I was so thankful it caught me when I was unawares.

I will say that one advantage to the lightrail in Seattle going right next to I-5 is showing to everyone stuck in traffic is that it doesn't have to be that way. I think it has helped people get a little more willing to use other modes even simply being so visible.

Yeah, Trump set the withdrawal in motion (complete with bonkers time frame), Biden attempted to honor the previous admin's agreement.

Humans didn't increase their output (probably decreased), but AI can only extract or copy so much before there is no more information (and new info is created at a specific rate). The metric for a successful AI article is still if a human sees it and the AI articles crowd each other out.

I could see that it's just going to reach a new equilibrium; the amount of actual new information is probably not changing that much by each year, mostly coming from peope who have to live in the real world.
