(critical thinking is important for this reason, but it is a skill that has unfortunately and alarmingly been eroded systemically in recent years)

this is why I always encourage my students to not just do things, but really engage with them. there’s a world of a difference between having TV on while you’re doomscrolling and having a watch party with friends followed by a lively discussion 💖
