That’s EXACTLY how my small town in NE PA is. The only jobs are at the school, the hospital and the borough. Railroads left in the 60s and the good jobs slowly left. 25 miles to Binghamton NY, 40 to Scranton. Nothing in between. 😐

There is a shortage of housing in cities. Affordable housing where the people are. Nobody wants to drive 45 minutes to work, pay to park downtown and ride a bus from the parking lot to where you work.
