We look forward to the day when our federal government takes a cue from hard-working cities like Somerville and puts its resources into working for the people, not against them.

While federal employees were busy with a pitiful attempt to troll or intimidate our community - and our kids! - we were finishing up our final school maintenance checklists to start the new school year, getting ready for the democratic process of our local election, & packing for the senior picnic.

Not only is this solar array reducing carbon emissions, it's going to generate over a million dollars in taxpayer savings. Thank you so much to our OSE, IAM, DPW, and SPS teams for leading the charge, and a huge thank you to the SHS students who helped make it happen!

Rumeysa Ozturk must be immediately released and her visa restored. The Constitutional rights of all must be upheld. Mass deportation actions and the steady revoking of legal status of people our government welcomed yesterday but now wants to deport today does not make us safer or more prosperous.
