Think twice about throwing away those holiday lights, #Chicago! WasteNot Composting and Reduce Waste Chicago have teamed up to manage holiday light recycling drop centers all across the city. Our #Mayfair neighbors can take their lights to the 39th Ward alderman's office at 4200 W Lawrence Ave.

The DREAM Team at Solorio High School on the Southwest Side has collected more than $6,000 for their classmates. The money is used to help students with parents who’ve been detained or deported pay rent and other expenses.

Bitterly cold temperatures in #Chicago this weekend will put many of our neighbors at risk. #Mayfair Presbyterian Church is providing an overnight warming center both Saturday and Sunday nights. Not everyone who needs help will ask for it, so check in with the folks in your 'hood!
