Ah. I don’t think that function exists. There’s currently only interaction settings, not visibility.

You can add Feeds to see what you want. There’s one called Mutuals that only shows people who follow you back.

From what I’ve read in articles, Bluesky has received another round of venture capital funding, but still have not revealed long term plans to make money. This is where I’m saying as a company, it’s almost inevitable that there needs to be monetization.

Two things can be true at the same time. As a user, I like the ad-free experience. As someone who currently works in the advertising space with clients that spend money on ads, I’m interested in the opportunity to drive revenue on another social platform.

Bluesky is not the same as TikTok but I’d eventually love to see them to work with popular diverse voices in a similar manner. It could be making sure to platform content creators within marginalized communities like TikTok does with #BlackTikTok and #CasaTikTok.

Community focused ads targeting specific feeds. Feeds allow you to reach users who are interested in art, books, sports, etc.. There’s opportunity to serve ads and drive traffic to users interested in relevant products and services. The Discover feed is also great for brand awareness campaigns.

I love that this platform isn’t full of ads. However, with the massive growth in users, the company will need to evaluate long term plans to keep the lights on. It’s unsustainable to be an ad-free platform without some kind of monetization efforts, whether it be ads or subscriptions.
