At the end of the day I want to be on a warm beach with a breeze, under an umbrella on a chaise reading a book with a tall glass of lemonade or perhaps a glass of sangria while reading with the soothing sound of waves breaking in the background.

Agree we all don't need more stuff, but on the other hand, consumerism provides jobs. I think it is sad that so many have to rely on consumer production of goods and services (such as retail clerks) to earn a living.

I purged my books slowly. I took 2-3 at a time up the street to my "Little Library" and I would check back and they would be gone. It made me happy they found a new home and helped to to slowly rid more (not gasp, of course).

Yes for now. But how long until the facist-pedo cuts funding to libraries and public museums. Some private museums, local cafes and bookstores go under because thanks to the economy people will not have the money to spend. I hate to be doom and gloom but after the last 11 months...

Susan Collins tries to act like she cares, but this action is not surpising. She works both sides of the street and votes based on the highest bidder. She is a deplorable and I don't understand why she keeps getting relected.

She really did. She stepped up and stood strong against Trump and Maga. She showed that a woman is capable of doing the job. She may have lost to Trump but helped the country by showing others they too can do it.

Kamala was not the first woman to run for pres, but I feel that she really contributed to paving the way for more women to step up such as our two new lady governors.

I can accept the half mass flags for a former vice pres regardless of what my views on him were. It is just respectful to the office he once held. On Kirk, a vile, disgusting, grifter, I never understood why the flags were lowered for him.

I really thought he was silent during Biden admin as respect. Let's face it, he would have stole the spotlight every time and people would listen to him not Biden. Then GOP would accuse Biden as a shadow pres. It was Biden's time and I appreciate that Obama stepped back and allowed.

The way I understand, if GOP are going to allow they are going to write up and approve in such a way that Obama would not quallify.
