Many thanks to our co-authors, especially Lukas Chmatal and David Page, who made this collaborative effort happen! We hope such studies into physiologic sex differences can ultimately enhance our understanding of sex diff in disease, driving med innovation for all pts!

FAO is the major source of metabolic fuel in the healthy heart, suggesting males and females may exhibit fundamental differences in cardiac metabolism at baseline! How these diffs may ultimately contribute to sex diffs in cardiac disease is an exciting open question! 🤔 2/3
