Scans from an iPhone sized riso print booklet I made at the end of my internship at Colorama (end of 2023). Using green, yellow and black riso drums, each page flips up to reveal the Wordle grid that is generated when you complete the puzzle, and an illustrated interpretation. #graphicdesign
A scan of two spreads of the booklet, the first one is Wordle 755, solved in 3/6 guesses. The interpretation is somebody sleeping in bed. The second scan was not solved in 6 guesses, and the illustration depicts a person playing tennis, chasing the ball. The first scan was not solved in 6 guesses, and the illustration depicts some sort of large-beaked green bird. The second scan shows that the puzzle was guessed in 5/6 guesses, and the illustration depicts a yellow chick. The first scan shows a page where the Wordle was solved in 6/6 guesses. The bottom page shows an interpretation of a cat/lion-like animal on grass, standing in front of a pole. The second scan was solved in 5/6 guesses, and the illustration is the legs, tail and neck of a dog, with a yellow leash, on a green background.

This summer I published 4 limited edition copies of “You Know What I Mean?” the final product of my graduation work at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. You can read the preface on slide 2 for more info, but basically it’s a massive 500 page collection of sleep talk recordings!! 😴💤 #graphicdesign
A scan of an artist book with a children’s drawing of a flower. The book is titled “You Know What I Mean?” and uses comic sans. The book is bound using black comb binding. Another scan of the book. The preface explains the book further. Our connections and associations grow alongside us, as we absorb the outside world. This in turn influences our inside world, the world of dreams. I have been recording my sleep talk over the past four years and this book is a collection of the direct access to the subconscious. The book acts as a tool guide to guide you through the language of sleep talk. Further scans, this is a graphical index of all the images used within the book, organised in rows by theme. An example spread of some of the recordings. The images are organised in a grid. The images are from a children’s memory game and show different facial expressions, shown side by side with children’s drawings and other ephemeral artefacts.
