Anybody who voluntarily gets into a driverless car/taxi demonstrates a fundamental lack of judgment. Any driverless vehicle that does not contain software capable of detecting a school bus and stopping should not be allowed on ANY road ANYWHERE on Planet Earth. Why is this hard?

More serious issue for the protestors is a violation of the FACE Act from the Clinton days protecting abortion clinics. The WH added disruption of "religious services" in order to get it through congress. What happened at the church was the same as people physically entering an abortion clinic.

I think where the problem emerges is that the church building is private property. One could make the case that they were trespassing right after one of the pastors told them to leave. I can't imagine Ellison would ever prosecute them for trespassing.

Airports are what's called a "functional equivalent" of a border. Years ago, the ACLU published a map depicting a 100-mile "Constitution-free Zone." It's scary how much of the U.S. population is captured. It used to be the only thing we cared about was CBP abuses at the fixed checkpoints.

I think the biggest issue with the Giants will be dealing with John Mara's terminal cancer. Harbaugh has the right demeanor and a strong Christian faith to help everyone in the organization deal with it. In the short term, that's arguably more important than winning games.

I've been a Giants fan for 60 years and I would be happy to have him. The two most successful Giants coaches in the last 30-40 years have been Parcells and Coughlin, both of whom were culture changers. Coughlin went head-to-head with Strahan over showing up to meetings 5 minutes early and won.

In lots of ways, I agree. In recent years, it seemed like the Ravens were on the brink of winning a big game time & time again, but you could count on a player to do something stupid at a key moment to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
