Husband. Father. LA Rams collector. Vintage cardboard. Former Oakland A’s fan. 67 Chevelle. PC Rams, Dusty Baker. My son PCs Rams: Stafford, Kupp, Donald, Nacua; BB: Matt Chapman, Josh Donaldson, Matt Olson, Ketel Marte, Pete Alonso, Bryce Harper.
24 total. 17 of the current. Counting Oakland as a current because Sac can pound sand. All time old Yankee and Fenway my favorites. Of the current, SF, Pit, Min, SD are all fantastic. CIN, new Mets and Yankees on tap this year.

And my second favorite player in the early eighties behind Dusty Baker.

I bought my son 1 blaster of archives. The 70 cards we got were this exact run you got. 🤔

Every time I see one of these all I can think of is some Tesla engineer at some point watched his kid make a car in Minecraft and said “oh I’m gonna do that.”

My friend Sam framed his Kellogg’s with example boxes. Amazing display.

Given that the 56 set does not have all stars nor playoffs, I created my own. Very happy with these designs.

I then binder the teams in order of finish and include the players from that season, not necessarily the team shown by topps as they update moves. The first page of each team are the starters.

I view sets as a history of the season before (ie 77 topps represent the 76 season). For the binder I first page up the all star starters and then playoffs, leaders etc.

I make spine graphics to include the wrapper design and a card I love from that set.

Few memories are better, I think, for card collectors then the cards they were able to secure as kids with their own money that they earned. Collecting the monthly paper money from customers on my route and heading directly to the liquor store to buy cards is an all time top memory.
