Happy birthday! I don’t feel old at all knowing that I was playing Star Fox when you were born (is something I wish I could say honestly)

Make sure to include a GLSL reference and a textbook on linear algebra. Go big or go home.

You mean yy/yw and p? Or ctl-k/u and ctl-y? Depends if I’m zsh’ing or vim’ing.

I’m not sure if it’s too gay or too Apple circa 1980.

Your thoughts and emotions are like weather swirling about. Sometimes a storm. But you are the sky that they pass beneath. The vastness and clarity of your true nature is only obscured by the passing weather.

A term I keep hearing about modern social media is “authentic voices”. Which as best I can tell means people sending the first draft of random thoughts that cross their minds. So by today’s standards, there is no drafting, only posting. A stream of collective consciousness.

But not so great when you want high-level interoperability of apps across a large fraction of desktop users. Mac is Mac, and Windows is Windows, modulo a a linearity of sequential versions. Whereas Linux is a massive tree with a large branching factor, where interoperability requires discipline. /2x

Linux’s greatest strength is also its greatest weakness: an endless diversity of options for desktop, distro, OS, package management (e.g. snap, flatpak),etc. Which is great if you want an OS that can be molded to all your creature comforts…. /1

For folks like us who enjoy writing code so much more than writing docs, maybe the goal should be to write code that's clear enough that AI can write decent documentation from it... 🤔

If you’re interested in coding the full version of Minecraft using Python, check out Minescript: minescript.net

You can write Python scripts to handle mouse events, keyboard events, move the player, place and destroy blocks, copy and paste large volumes of blocks, and a lot more.

That’s an unfair characterization. Linux is a huge mess. And I wouldn’t call it software support. More like searching Reddit for the poor souls who’ve been unfortunate enough to encounter your situation before, only to find out that something you configured early on doomed you long afterward.
