Finally getting to outlier Hitchcock. Carole Lombard steals the show (how could she not?) Interesting as a point of contrast to Hitch’s other film from 1941. There isn’t the threat of poisoned milk here, but Lombard and Montgomery are deliciously venomous in their goofy remarriage plot.

First time watching Gummo. Xenia,OH really is America’s id ; full of stories about the neighbors, stray cats, and dirty bath water. What a world.
