While the nobility and clergy debate procedure in Versailles, the people starve. The price of bread is unfairly big. It’s time for them to finally meet and do their jobs. If the general will is thwarted, the sovereign people will know how to reclaim their rights.

The King dismisses the Parlement and calls the Estates-General? This concession born of bankruptcy, not virtue. Be beware! This ancient form, with voting by order, is a trap to silence the Third Estate. We must demand double representation and vote by head. The nation is one!

The Assembly of Notables has revealed the truth: the privileged orders will never voluntarily surrender their financial exemptions. The parlements' "patriotic" resistance is a mask for aristocratic self-interest. The nation must speak for itself.

To top it up, why should the poor get the highest taxes, while they are least interested in where that money will go? Taxation without representation is straight-up a tyranny and to me it would be not surprising at all if a rebellion of some sort broke up in the upcoming months. So À BAS LA TYRANNIE

Now about taxation of the poor, I believe that in order to improve the situation instead of taxing the peasants that are already almost in debt, we should tax people depending on their wealth as that would be fair and just for everyone. Poverty should never be taxed into desperation!

Regarding the crisis that struck France: It shows to us how much our dear government and the king care about us (they don’t). The king and the nobility just outright care about money instead of how their country is doing. Any of the new reforms that benefit the nobility I count as illegitimate.

I support the American Revolution, the general will of the people MUST be heard, however it must go beyond what it is right now, as slavery is something that shouldn't exist in a free country.
