I live in Jersey with a wild pack of family dogs.

(He/Him)
But I'd probably just see what you can get for cheap, any should be able to accept DRM free files via usb connection.

If you're reading PDFs, you might want a large size device.

Boox brand devices run android, so they're a more open ecosystem than other e-readers

Remarkable devices also don't have a content store, since they're intended more for writing than reading.

The DRM is tied to the store, not the device, e.g. a kindle will read non-DRM epub and PDFs just fine.

That said, I do have a few suggestions:

The most insane cold war creation actually built.

Orion is more insane, but no one was crazy enough to actually build it

I'd respect it more if he was just like "I'm going to spend 77 billion on VR research because I think it's cool."

But he thought it would be the next big thing to get richer with, and spent most of the money on making and marketing products that are ultimately pretty niche

I guess some people only hate US wars because some US soldiers get killed? Not because of the horrible war crimes?

Not for nothing that this was the fate of Sparta, every assholes favorite Greek city-state.

Æthelred the Unready -- cmon, it's right in the name! He's not ready to be king, give it some more time.

I haven't seen del Toro's Frankenstein yet, but I feel like Netflix productions nearly always suffer from this. The sandman series was really bad for this as well.

So shocker, IQ tests are gameable.

Actually, this study seems to say that test taking strategy is the most important thing -- and it's the opposite of usual. Usually you want to skip or come back to questions that are too hard (get any easy ones rather than run out of time). This one benefits from taking as much time as possible

Ah, but have you considered that my personality type is the genetically superior one? 😏

Not to mention, the AI fans like their AI less ethical -- the more it fluffs their egos, and tells them comfortable lies, the more they like it.

That's why chatgpt is the most popular.

Providing a less bad option won't work, because what they like is the bad parts

Also, our elections last way too long.

I think it's actually kind of critical to develop the ability to, and comfort with, just fucking saying when you don't know something, or don't know enough to have formed a strong opinion. Especially given our disinformation situation. Plus it invites people who DO know their shit to the convo

I think this is kind of happening in hip hop -- e.g. clipse had a big comeback (though pusha t never really left), and I've heard people complaining that there's too many old rappers these days.

But I'm not really a big enough hip hop head to be definitive.

And we should get rid of all of those!

(But yeah the filibuster is low hanging fruit)
