It's been cold AF in Denver this week. -14 Monday night. Slightly warmer last night at -2. Glad I let my hair grow out to keep my head warm and got some heavier coats!

My family has a tradition of slow cooking a pot of beans on New Year's Day. The superstitious logic is (because beans are inexpensive) if you begin the year with beans, you'll at least have beans the rest of the year.
