Outsourcing expertise from government has always been a trap. I see signs this is starting to hit home for politicians more, but it cannot be fixed soon enough. If the average residents experience interfacing with government is poor, they support government less. It's direct and straightforward.

If the facts challenges their assumptions so be it. But "how can I use this to stick it to the libs" is an editorial choice, not a factual one.
