I will never be able to fully express how much @drewstruzanart.bsky.social art has meant yo me over the past 40-someodd years. His illustrations were, for me, inspiring and awe-inspiring. RIP

This is easily one of the WORST movies I've seen in a while. Doesn't even feel like a Shane Black film. And it's a complete insult to Donald E. Westlake's work. Also, fuck this movie for shooting in Australia, which doesn't look a goddamn thing like New York.

Way back when I used to work on movies (fuck you, Hollywood!) I worked on a low budget Indie show called THE LONG SHADOW, for which she was an Executive Producer. She was very nice & enjoyed telling me about her days on one of my favorite television series, "Night Court." RIP to a terrific person

A few other Lloyd performances I've loved since I was young. Frognose in THE LADY IN RED, directed by Lewis Teague and written by John Sayles. With Richard Lester and stars William Katt & Tom Berenger in BUTCH & SUNDANCE: THE EARLY DAYS. Michael Keaton's high-strung coworker in MR. MOM

On this date 20 years ago I evacuated New Orrleans ahead of this beast. I had evacuated for hurricanes before and was always back home in a couple of days. This time I was gone 14 years. So many conflicting emotions. Lots to reflect on.

Picked up a few Film Books today at a Used Bookstore in the French Quarter. The Ruth Gordon autobiography was even autographed! #Cinema #film #cinemabooks #filmbiography #hollywood

Two of my top ten favorite records of all time were released on this day.
"Revolver" by The Beatles, August 5, 1966.
"Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash" by The Pogues, August 5, 1985.

This one hurts. Ozzy is gone. What can be said about the granddaddy of Heavy Metal? Let the music do the talking. Play those Black Sabbath records LOUD. Play those solo records LOUD, especially "Diary Of A Madman" & "Blizzard of Ozz". Those records have meant and still mean so much to me. RIP Ozzy

You've inherited a movie theatre. What's your first double feature? #filmsky #moviesky

Still part of my collection, too.

Found these while moving. They belonged to Dixie. She'd get them tied above each ear after a visit to the groomers. It's been 3 months since she died and I still feel the loss deeply. You never really get over the loss of a pet - you just learn to cope.

Brilliantly funny film, but really lame poster. I'm still not sure why the studio didn't go with the much more comically effective @drewstruzanart.bsky.social

Arthur Hiller double feature. Two really fun Buddy Road-Comedy Thrillers

There’s no denying that Val Kilmer was outstanding in the roles that he’s most associated with. But, for me, he really made his mark in films that aren’t talked about as much. Films like KILL ME AGAIN, SPARTAN, or KISS KISS, BANG BANG are real standouts, but REAL GENIUS will always be my favorite

My heart is broken and there’s a 16lb hole where my sweet Dixie used to reside. Goodbye Big Eyes. You are now forever dreaming.
