Looking skyward at 6:15 pm from our home on Constitution Street. It was at this moment, 80 years ago, that the atomic bomb detonated over Hiroshima (it's already tomorrow in Japan, owing to the time difference, so it was 8:15 am Aug 6 there).

We've decided to go retro this Christmas. Here's a late 1970s Rotel 555 bookshelf stereo receiver I bought used and restored to good working order. It now receives both AM and FM surprisingly well. It is particularly satisfying to tune with a dial rather than scrolling through menus. #radio #retro
