It would indeed be prejudice to conclude that one person is less capable than another based on age alone. I'm only talking about possible differences in general, but I would never use age to measure every specific person.

Everyone grows old one day, but running a country does require energy and clear judgement. Wanting a younger and more energetic leader is not the same as discriminating against older people.
