Over at Lauchope yesterday for the first time since #StormÉowyn and one of the Muirhead Oaks has lost some of its upper canopy in the wind. The tree will be fine. Letting go of upper limbs is all part of the ageing process for old oaks and the reveals new habitats for wildlife

The medieval Priory at Lesmahagow had an early dedication to Féchín, known as 'Little Raven' so its interesting to see a carved raven head, in amongst the remains of the Priory stonework
