คำพูดที่หลุดออกมาจากผู้เป็นพ่อทำให้เธอตาเบิกโพลงไปด้วยความตกใจสุดขีดจนพูดอะไรออกมาไม่ได้ นอกจากหยาดน้ำตาที่เริ่มไหลออกมาอย่างควบคุมไม่อยู่

เธอไม่ได้ฟังคำพูดอะไรของผู้เป็นพ่ออีก นอกจากวิ่งออกมาจากร้านโดยไม่ได้สนอะไรทั้งนั้น

ถูกรับเลี้ยง..?

เธอไม่อยากจะเชื่อเลยด้วยซ้ำ แต่มันก็สมเหตุสมผลเหลือเกินว่าทำไมเธอจึงมีสีผิวและสีผมที่ต่างจากคนอื่น และดวงตาที่ดำทมิฬไม่เหมือนน้องๆเธอซักนิด

The interest she's taken in Spencer makes her forget surroundings around her for a while. She wants to make sure that the other can be herself around her as well.

"We're all being a nerd in some way."

"I am too obsessed with constellation and tea."

She admits, hoping to ease the nervousness.

Max gives her a reassuring smile, soft yet full of confidence within herself. Her black orbs stare into the person in front of her, no judgement could be seen on her face.

Only acceptance.

"I would not wish any companion in the world but you."

There she says a quote back, but it's sincere.

Her eyes perk up with such delight when she hears a Shakesphere quote.

But she can sense Spencer's nervousness after finishing the sentence, and Max doesn't want her to lose her playfulness just because of a possible judgement from herself.

"Hey, don't worry."

"I like it."

It's a rare occurence, but Max feels like she could be herself around the person in front of her without any judgement, with jokes throwing around and the bond they're creating.

She's glad to have met Spencer, and to be able to bond with her, no matter what the future holds.

"If the sky's clear that night, and there's no light around that area, hopefully..." Max starts to reassure, "You can still see the stars above, trust me."

"And don't worry about dying, it's not that kind of hill, per se."

A slight chuckle comes out uncontrollably, feeling more like herself.

And when Spencer accepts her invitation to stargazing, Max feels even more excited about it, both sharing her favorite space to someone and expecting the sky to be clear at night when they decide to go.

"Of course, it shall be thee finest of all."

Max jokes back with a playful tone.

Max nods as a different opinion is given, she's glad that despite not liking it the same way she does, Spencer still respects the passion she has for the nature. It is, indeed, the greatest creation in this world.

Such as the view outside, with colorful flowers and birds chirping beautifully.

She's inclined to share her own place with someone who has the same interest, or even take an interest in the stars the same way as she does.

She averts her gaze away to take a sip, masking her own nervousness.
