I hate to say this, but every time I see a post about an artist opening commissions, it's always about needing money for surgery, food, or paying off debt. If someone wants to commission you, they will. Be professional. it leaves a better impression.

Just say you're not interested instead of overpricing your work or giving out signs, be direct. That is soo selfish!
Long ago someone asked me to be the artist of their comic. I told each panel would be the price of a full commission, to which they said it would be too expensive blah blah, and I ignored. I'd think charging full price for each panel would be an obvious sign I'm not interested

I recieved a DM saying they'll buy my art for $1500. I thought it'd be an art commission but it was NFT for a site called bit-token(.)io .. It's too late for me to figure out it's a scam so figure I'd share for awareness if someone decides to search the keyword when they get the DM.

I'll say this, if you are 'an artist looking to do a commission for streamers' (aka bot account) -- Ain't no-one gonna buy Art from you pestering them.

They ask to draw their pet, kids, and then say paypal isnt working, things like theyll give u a bigger check, and u have to pay a small change- thats how they rip ur money off.
