I recently saw some GitHub repos where they used emojis at the beginning of commit messages, thinking about doing this as well to easier identify changes/fixes

Oh it just hit me like a brick.
Bsky api wont be free forever, theres no guarantee.
I mean atproto is still open, do whatever you want, but the bsky appview api could be closed at any time.
Even more reason why we need more alternative appviews
