If so, I guess it could be better as a short film than a feature length film (think like Entergalactic, Paperman, Feast, The Spider Within or TMNT: Chrome Alone).

I think this is not the official death scene but more rather an alternative version of it. Because if being that version, then Bing Bong could've been in agony.
