Theoretical physicist, professor Alexander Nikolaevich Vasiliev (1940 – 2006). The years of his work coincided with a period of rapid development in theoretical physics. At the beginning of his career, professor Vasiliev achieved notable success in the field of Constructive Quantum Field Theory.

One hopes that progress somehow figures it out itself. Hope is the mother of fools. The progress is fragile thing. There is no such law of nature that progress is inevitable. We need to renounce hope and take our chances with simple luck backed by action. I become certain XXI is a no-return century.
