For example Spider-man 2 does not run on an RX 580 by Sony's decision and AMD will not do nothing about it.

Lack of support means if it launches or not or how well the game runs is not the company's problem. Also could mean lack of security updates making the hardware unsafe for users.

Consoles are a separate thing and are mantained by the platform owners, a completely different thing to PC.

This doesn't affect the Steam Deck, the drivers for RDNA on Linux are Open-source, the community and Valve mantains them instead of AMD.

But if you already own an xbox you can just stream your console for free using remote play. But yeah, 5 hour is too little time.

I mean, it's not that bad. For non gamepass suscribers seems reasonable. But Geforce NOW offers a better free tier and supports some ms store titles

I'm that person since I bought a lot of games on the windows store and then moved to linux recently.

Even if it can't reach 120fps the panel supports VRR. So it should be an option, unless there are some battery life concerns.

Switch 2 biggest bottleneck here is the CPU, which is similar or slightly better than PS4's.

They applied everything they learned from the Steam Machines and improved their SteamOS to the point that is more desirable Linux for this kind of devices. The only "rival" is Microsoft in the OS space for PC Handhelds.

That's just wrong, it was a new addition to the niche space of handheld PCs dominated by small companies like Aya Neo, GPD or OneXPlayer. It was a complete success in creating a new market of PC Handhelds that run Steam games.

Some Switch 1 games will not run or have unexpected issues due to the use of a translation layer like Proton on linux. Nintendo has a very vague compatibility chart on their page.

Some will see solid performance in non CPU bound scenarios, but resolution, textures and asset quality remains the same. Also games with 30fps caps are still at 30fps.
