A reminder that Trump bought a yacht from Khashoggi’s father, poured a ton of money into it, then took a bath on it when he had to sell it in bankruptcy, and somehow blamed Khashoggi for it. And given how he operates and cultivates his grudges, that fed into his deeming Jamal a “bad guy.”
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."
