If, hypothetically, DeepSeek could demonstrate the same privacy and security protections as their own would OpenAI welcome the competition — and possible billions in revenue and investment flowing into further R&D?

But their argument for banning the use of Chinese hardware and models is economic warfare dressed up as privacy and security measures. Of course, the intended audience knows how to read between the lines — and it’s a strategy that many agree with.

I've been reminded that ACON has gone through some changes and a number of people have had negative experiences working with them. Considered taking this post down but will leave it for now with this note, as on the face of it at least Listening and Truth Telling sounds worthwhile.
