when we launched last year's list of goals, we were at 2,850 paying subscribers. now we have 4,350. that is a WILD leap, and it's enabled us to do all sorts of cool shit (freelancers, a regular contributor, a new podcast, a party (still to come)). here's what we're aiming for in 2025:

Also, yes, @aftermath.site’s birthday sale is what got me to subscribe, but I will more than likely continue after this month. It also put me on to @404media.co, prompting me to subscribe to their outlet! I think that’s a pretty good domino effect 😁

I think following these 2 outlets, along with sticking with Bluesky, will be a good move for me. I’ll be able to consume higher quality content, with a whole lot less doomscrolling 😄 Seems like that would be good for me, mentally!

Also, @404media.co! Both sites seem like they’ll have unique stories that you can’t easily find nowadays, especially with the bigger outlets resorting to layoffs and utilizing AI more in reporting.
