Seeing as Melvyn and guests covered it on this week's In Our Time, for my latest #book of the moment I'm revisiting Émil Zola's 1895 classic Germinal. Although gruesome in places, reflecting what poverty does I enjoyed it on my OU 19th Century Novel course.

I have a yen for a #geeky bathroom with Penrose tiles on the floor. I wonder if anybody supplies them.
