Exactly!! That’s no Mo’s fault that the ineptitude of the hierarchy spent near £200m on two strikers but didn’t think to prioritise a defence where one CB is in the last months of his contract and the other is at the end of his career! But it’s Mo’s fault? - this is the point.

Again, disagree. As he points out , pundits like Carra always seem to pick out Mo as the one to be dropped. Lose 3-0 back to back and it’s Mo’s fault? Not VD with a random handball not Gravenberch and his inability to plug gaps, not Ibou and his lack of effort. It’s Mo for not scoring?

The likes of Carra and Sky sports don’t talk about any other player being dropped, it’s always Mo. It’s a huge cock up at club level that they haven’t brought in the right players, in the right positions. Again £200m on 2 players who play in the same position and not other 1st choice CB, madness.

Again thou, that speaks to issues in the wider squad that we’ve an over reliance on one player. A player who is world class , has clearly had a rough time over Jota and lost his right back that enabled him to be the player he was. You can’t honestly say that this club form is down to him.

Diaz is a weird one. It was a good deal, not against it. But not getting a like for like replacement then saying that by not doing so was allowing Rio a route to first team , but never playing him was strange one.Again an issue overlooked, the more you scratch ,the more( I think )you see Mo’s point.

Prior to this evening he was joint top scorer with Gakpo. No mention of Gakpo being benched thou. Or any other attacker. His form has been better than others, it’s just not been better then his own form in previous seasons, that’s what people are seeing.

Yes and no, agree public bursts aren’t pretty but I also think when pushed abs it does feel this way, you have to fight your corner. Especially if you’ve given it all and people drag your name in the mud, man loves the club. Find it odd to think he would say this without cause.

Otherwise the likes of Edward’s and Hughes have to put hands up and say, we shouldn’t of tanked near £200m on two strikers but not got a CB when one of our current choice is in the later stages of his career and the other is 7/10 at best but also at the end of his contract. That’s poor management.

I just think we have forgotten what a player he’s been for the club. And this does feel like a way of papering over what is looking like frankly awful transfer business. Business that I don’t think was done in tandem with Slot and is showing hugely in the squad imbalance. Patsy is needed and it’s Mo

Slot has a different title vs when Klopp was at the club. Klopp had a say in club affairs, transfers etc. Slot is only a coach, the hierarchy have made business decisions that aren’t in line with the coach’s vision, it’s a breakdown between on the pitch and in the boardroom. It’s messy.
