Kutsuwahaze (Istigobius campbelli) nesting artificial reefs after 2 years. First picture is recent coverage while the second was just after installation. The goby burrows under the reef and lays its eggs on the underside.

Finally got a drysuit.
Much better when diving in the winter. Thought it would be harder given I have only ever dove wetsuits. Turns out it was easier than my 10mm farmer john. Balance was all well and good. Probably need a little more weight on the legs but other than that, it was fantastic.

ブリ (Buri, Seriola quinqueradiata).
Taken back in July this year. Echizen is a rough coastline along Japan's central coast in the sea of Japan. Plenty of upwelling drives these japanese amberjack into nearshore waters. This was taken in just 15m depth.
A truly spectacular experience.

Today’s #Nudivember offering! The gorgeous Crystal #seaslug (Antiopella cristata).
Semi-transparent, numerous cerata with iridescent blue/white pigments on the tips! What’s not to like about this #nudibranch ?!

This picture is from 2019 when I was working with a citizen science group devising artificial habitat designed to house predatory two spot octopus (Octopus bimaculoides) and give giant kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera) a foothold on sandy sea floor.
