Ngl, Sega should have kept glazing Shadow. But they snubbed him so much for the past few months, and look what happened. Even Sonic got cut off of all rewards for movies and games. How a company respects it's characters/IP reflects how others view the entire franchise.

I think alot of uneducated people don't know that the swastika was originally a Buddhist symbol of peace. It became appropriated and is now associated with hate. Now, the Asians can't even claim it back without being called a "yahtzee". Art with religion behind it is a touchy subject for borrowing.

I can see why people use the term, "youth is wasted on the young". Watching people spend large chunks of their youth chasing someone who has no interest in them, it's kind of sad and a waste of existence, honestly. Wouldn't it be better for someone else to have their ample time for useful things?

A skilled artist doesn't worry, because they can have multiple styles and would encourage people to develop their own from many others. An unskilled one would only use one style and would fear being replaced, so they guard the only thing that gives them meaning, not a narrative or unique vision.

Those that screech about art style imitation are boring themselves and you can see it in their works. They themselves got their art style from many other artists, but refuse to tell anyone for gatekeeping. That's how art works. Masters like Kim Jung Gi encourages artists to learn from other artists

People who worry about art style imitation must be amateurs. If art style is the only thing you have to offer, then you are replaceable and have nothing else to offer. Styles and skills change if you actually practice. People like to know if you have a unique perspective or image in your mind.
