While I have had tokens of gratitude from parents at the end of a school year or verbal praise/feedback from colleagues or external assessors I have never been called to a "meeting" and then spoken about with such warm praise in front of others and presented with a beautiful bouquet before. 🥹🙈

2024 wasn't great at times. Burning this Norns candle to attract a bit more luck and help channel positive outcomes and maybe inspire me with more ideas for my job. ✌️

This year's completed #books. I read 60, but started 67 (5 DNFs and 2 in progress). I usually end up binge reading @mhairim.bsky.social when she has a new book out 🤣 what's interesting is the release is round the month where I have a reading slump!
I have lots of new books for 2025 🫶 More time too!

I do feel the need, though, to highlight that I did get some excellent presents including these Oliver Bonas banana bookends. They're delightfully fugly and silly. Would never have chosen them myself and yet Husband and I have plans for how best to display these. Or I do, anyway!

Comedy answer: Godzilla. I don't think she'd even nuke it. Just step on it.
Real answer: something like a flock of albatrosses. It'll be grim but I think if we trapped it in a ring of salt, the birds could have at this giant buffet. The shell is a problem though 🤔 I guess use a pneumatic drill.

I loved the statue by Antonio Cavona. It is dramatic and romantic and the detail was incredible. It was also catching the light beautifully! I have a fondness for Van Gogh and I discovered Hilma of Klint last year. Her work is interesting. I also like Willem van de Velde the younger's maritime art.

I have had a shower and washed my hands *multiple times* and handled many different smelling things since eating these on the 24th for lunch. How can my fingers STILL smell like the sauce?!
