“Doers” succeed not by doing the right thing, or through meticulous analysis and planning, they just stick to something long enough that they adapt to whatever works and then things happen. Historically, fascism often emerged on the right conditions. I’m not saying it will happen, but it can happen.

web3 / crypto crowd should take notice of the revolutionary Bluesky approach to product architecture and strategy and design similarly. Just based on the actual user experience, I’d predict Bluesky will grow and eventually surpass it’s predecessors, becoming a reference in descentralized startups.

I see a lot of web3 / crypto / protocolary projects fail because while the idea is great in theory, it’s too hard to understand or use for the mainstream. This projects are unable to “cross the chasm” and grow their market beyond hobbyists.

They did this by building the protocol themselves and solving “necessary centralization” by designing for “being a provider” but allowing anyone else to become a competing provider, with the same capabilities at the protocol level.

I remember looking into internals and I was amazed by how the underlying protocol is made to be “not necessarily centralized”, what’s more shocking is how the talented team behind Bluesky managed to build and deliver a unified UX on top of a descentralized protocol.
