For the kanji 頂 in his back, i wanted a unique symbol for Goku and his martial arts school, not an old one and not some word like dragon, monkey, 4... so I turned to food and the word Itadakimasu and his more complex sense with the kanji 頂 « itadaku » or 頂く (itadaku)…
