30. Resident Evil 4 (2023)

I got in the mood for some RE so I replayed the RE4 Remake.

Playing on the hardest difficulty really makes the entire game shine, from the resource management to how aggressive the enemies are. Every room and every encounter is so memorable. It's just peak. (10)

29. Divinity Original Sin 2

After loving BG3 I played DOS2 with three friends. We went through the entire game on the hardest difficulty and this game is genuinely tough. It was a blast figuring out how to win every fight.

I did not care about the story at all but everything else is fantastic. (9)

28. Neon White

The third speedrunning FPS I’ve played in a row, and easily the best of them.

Collecting every gift and medal is incredibly addictive, and it’s clear how much love and care went into crafting each level. The music and even the story are pretty good. I definitely recommend it. (9)

27. Mullet MadJack

Another fast-paced FPS built around speed and quick decision-making. You die in 10 seconds, but killing robots adds seconds to your life, forcing you to keep moving nonstop. It’s simple and it executes its ideas well. (7.5)

26. I am Your Beast

A fun first person shooter focused on clearing stages as fast as possible.

You really feel unstoppable in this one, and I like the simple story about someone refusing to go back for “one last job.” (7.5)

25. Ninja Gaiden 4

It’s a solid action game but far longer than it needs to be, and I just don’t enjoy fighting most enemies.

Not as good as NGB/NG2, but at least it's not a disaster like NG3.

Yakumo’s fine, but if the game were about Ryu it’d instantly be better which is a shame. (6.5)

24. Keeper

I played this to support Double Fine since I expect MS to keep being horrible and eventually kill them off.

The game is good for what it is. It’s about 4 hours long, mostly about moving forward with some light puzzles while you take in how beautiful the entire game is. (7)

Time to watch this. #ChainsawMan

23. Severed Steel

Got this game for like half a dollar during the last Steam Sale and it’s pretty good.

An acrobatic FPS all about wall running, sliding, and diving while shooting enemies. And apparently there’s more beyond the campaign I still need to try which I will do for sure. (8)

Tokyo Xtreme Racer 1.0v just dropped and it’s great. It captures all the classic PS2 racing game vibes anyone could want, with a simple yet addictive gameplay loop that just works.

Fantastic stuff, and I really hope Genki keeps making more games after this.

22. Hollow Knight: Silksong

Silksong finally came out and it delivered exactly what it promised: more Hollow Knight, just as good if not better.

100%ing the game was a fantastic experience, I can’t wait to see what DLC we get and what Team Cherry does next.

Also, it’s insanely cheap. (10)

21. We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie

We Love Katamari is just as good as I remember. A fantastic game with an incredible soundtrack, full of that surreal charm that makes it so special.

I really hope the upcoming new game manages to capture that same magic. (8)

yep, went to check and there's my post, even if I no longer use that site at all.

20. Fire Emblem Engage

My favorite Fire Emblem to date. It has its flaws, mainly a weak story and a Hub area I wish did not exist. But if you can look past those issues and play on the hardest difficulty, you will find it to be one of the most rewarding experiences the series has to offer. (8)

19. Toree Saturn

Another great game from Siactro. For those unfamiliar, this dev makes short 3D platformers heavily inspired by the classics and they only cost $1–$5 USD.

This game is clearly their most ambitious game to date. The game has a fantastic soundtrack and great unlockables as well. (7)

18. Donkey Kong Bananza

These kind of Collectathons just aren't for me, it’s basically Odyssey 2.0. I felt like I was going through the motions for most of my play time.

With that said, it’s undeniably a great game, and the final couple hours are absolutely spectacular. DK is back! (8.5/10)

17. XCOM 2 WotC

I can see why many call it the best strategy game of all time. The depth feels endless, and the modding scene is incredible. I could easily sink hundreds of hours into it without getting bored.

I already want to replay it on a higher difficulty and eventually try Long WotC. (10/10)

16. Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo

I didn’t expect this indie game to end up being the best "Zelda" game I’ve played in ages. It stayed engaging the whole way through with clever puzzles and new mechanics added until the very end. Perfect length, no filler. I am shocked by how good it is. (9/10)

15. Path of the Abyss

A very solid semi auto-battle DRPG with great art, fantastic music, strong atmosphere, and a battle system I had not seen before.

It's also cheap and has way more content than I expected. Only cons are that it's on the easier side and the English loc could be better. (7.5)

14. Deltarune Chapters 3+4

A jaw dropping masterpiece. The writing, characters, gameplay, music, and meta narrative are unmatched. Toby Fox(and the rest of his team) are on another level.

$25 for this much brilliance feels criminal. If you’re not playing Deltarune, you’re missing out. (10/10)

13. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (PC)

A step up from the first. I actually went for 100%, which I never even considered in the original.

The new slide move adds a lot, and the level design is definitely an improvement. Still has a few frustrating stages, but I really enjoyed it. (7/10)

12. Crash Bandicoot (PC)

I finally gave the Crash series a shot and I enjoyed the first game, even if it was frustrating at times, likely due to changes in Crash’s controls from the original.

Still, it was a memorable experience, and I can see why it was such a big deal when it came out. (6/10)

11. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

One of those games that reminds me why I love this hobby. It's Focused, respectful of your time and intelligence, with engaging combat. The devs had a clear vision and they nailed it. And the music? Absolute star of the show.

I could not recommend it more. (10/10)

10. The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy

The game lives up to its promise of being a collaboration between Kodaka and Uchikoshi, a dream come true.

After 100+ hours, my only issue is its length; it could have benefited from some cuts. Regardless, it remains an impressive achievement. (9/10)
